Giving Tree

December 3-16, 2018
Located in the lobby of the school

The Teacher and Family Giving Trees are up in the office! Each holiday season, South Bay Elementary gives parents two options to support our teachers or families in our community. The Teacher Wishing Tree has tags that include one "wish" item from each of the teachers. Please take the opportunity to stop by the front office to complete these "wishes" for your child's classroom. The Holiday Family Giving Tree has two families who need a little extra help to make their holidays special this year. Each gift tag will provide the age, gender, and wish for the family member. If you would like to participate, you can select a gift tag or two from the tree. We ask that parents, rather than children, come to choose a tag so that we can meet all the needs. Please purchase the item(s) requested, wrap the gift (including the tag), and return it to the volunteer room by Friday, December 14th.

King Arthur's Quest

March 30, 11:30am and 2pm

King Arthur, of legend and song, strode across medieval England with courage and confidence…or did he? What if the troubles of his kingdom threatened to overwhelm him? Watch the damsels in distress sound the warning of trouble and witness the Lady of the Lake as she produces the sword in the stone. Hide with the Camelotians when the ghost of Arthur’s Father visits the castle and see the giant tower over the questing knights. Cheer for the king when he makes friends with the terrible dragon and listen in as Morgan le Fey and Mordred propose a better plan. Join the knights and squires of the Round Table as they try to do the right thing. Hope for the best outcome as your favorite characters of Camelot - Arthur, Guinevere, Merlin, Taleisin, The Raven and Lancelot wrestle with the challenges faced by their people. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at rehearsals, at the door, or online.
